Commander Lincoln Reifsteck

Commanding Officer, USS Hampton (SSN 767)

Commander Lincoln Reifsteck is a native of Fairfield, California.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy in 1995, and a Master of Business Administration degree from The George Washington University in 2002.

Commander Reifsteck reported to HAMPTON in September 2012, as the submarine’s ninth Commanding Officer.  Prior sea tours were as a Division Officer on USS ALASKA (SSBN 732)(BLUE),  Navigator and Operations Officer on USS CHARLOTTE (SSN 766), and Executive Officer on USS COLUMBUS (SSN 762).  His experiences at sea include six strategic deterrent patrols, two Eastern Pacific deployments, three Western Pacific deployments, and transits across the Equator, through the Panama Canal, and under the North Pole.

Shore assignments were as Strategic Weapons Training Project Officer for Strategic Systems Programs (Washington, D.C.), Tactical Readiness Evaluator and Assistant Force Navigator for the Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (Pearl Harbor, Hawaii), and Submarine Assignments Branch Head and Executive Officer Detailer for Navy Personnel Command (Millington, TN).
